Business Description
The Social Service League of La Jolla is a non profit public benefit corporation that has been maintaining both the Darlington House and the League House since 1968.
The Darlington House, named after estate owner, Sibyl Darlington, is a registered historical San Diego landmark and a magical site for weddings, receptions, holiday parties, anniversaries, family reunions, class reunions, corporate events of all kinds, and concerts. The old world charm of this venue is enhanced by the intimate gardens, flowers, courtyards and fountains in a private villa setting.
Proceeds from the Darlington House support the League House, where 52 seniors who meet low income, age and health requirements are provided with secure and attractive apartments. An evening meal is provided to each tenant along with a safe community-based environment provided by the members of the Social Service League.
